Dating doesn't match well with mathematics PDF Print E-mail

Why don't I have a girlfriend? Mathematics says that if you date one person a week you will need 70 years to find your true match. Let's look at the numbers and think how we can improve our dating chances.

Why don't I have a girlfriend? A question all of us asked themselves at one point in their life.

Usual answers we give are the kind of : "i'm to shy", "i'm not trying hard enough", "i'm to ugly" and stuff like this. Dating may be to hard for me.

Last days i stumbled on a very interesting article, the numbers that follow are from this article, you can read it too, link is at the bottom. This article looks at dating and relationships from a statistic p.o.v.

Number of people on Earth (in 2008): 6,000,000,000 +

who are female : 3,200,000,000

in developed countries : 800,000,000

around my age : 10% , 80,000,000

who are beautiful : around 1,000,000

and smart : around 200,000

and single (available for dating) : around 100,000

and might like me : around 20,000

That's it ! 20,000 from 80,000,000 !!!

If i go on a blind date it will take me around 3500 weeks to stumble on one of the 20,000 suitable matches for me. That's 70 years ...... of dating every week !

That's what the article say (and mathematics) .... but we all know that love and true match are not impossible, question is how we can improve our chances ?

  • Go out on dating. If you stay and do nothing chances are 0. You are not ugly, you are not fat or thin, you are you and for all of us there is a pool of people like us.
  • Take a good look at yourself and be honest : your standards may be to high. It's not about lowering your standards, it's called honesty.
  • Don't picture your dream partner inspired by some movie star, get real. Look at your friends partners, your dream partner must fit in that group.
  • Increase your chances for a good dating partner by filtering out from the start : how it looks (don't go on blind dates), how it thinks (force some conversations online prior to dating), if may like you (post your real picture !!!).
I hope you enjoyed reading this! If you like it please share this story, digg it, stumble it, share it.

Why do you assume that your perfect match is one of the most beautiful and smart
females on earth? Come ON! Your perfect match may be anybody. Grow up, start
dating, stop writing about "stuff" :)

Dating - Online Dating

You must be extra careful with the online dating because you never know the true identity of the person behind the online id.

Dating - Relationships

Every online date can transform in a real date which can lead to a real relationship. Online dating means nothing if it doesn't lead to real happenings.

Relationship problems

Online dating with persons which are not part of your relationship means trouble. Remember how you started!
